Kind advice regarding following situation will be highly appreciated,
I am Canadian, divorced my Canadian wife in 2004, and declared my Marital status "Divorced" in my all tax returns till 2010.

Got second marriage outside Canada in 2005 and my new wife is living Outside Canada, and having no any Canadian status, not sponsored and never visited Canada till today.
There is one child age 5 years from my second wife and living with me here in Canada I applied for his CCTB in 2011 and at that time my marital status was declared “divorced” in 2010 tax return,

My question is.....
What I have to declare my marital status Divorced or Married in Tax Return 2011.

Hello Sidi,

Thanks for sharing your situation and question with us.

You may want to call the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) directly.

They should be able to provide you some clear instruction and definitive information regarding how to complete that portion of your 2011 Tax Return.
