All:

Iam a canadian permanent resident and I have submitted sponsorship application on November 02 2009 for my wyfe and kid.

I had a discussion with my colleague,as per him now a days sponsorship applications are taking more time, he submitted his sponsorship application on september 2007 till no update.

when i chekced the processing times in cic website, sponsorship application times took 3 to 8 months.I would like to know approximate processing time for sponsorship(part 1 &2).

Also, Is there any way can i bring my wife and kid(from India) while sponsorship application is in process (ex: visit visa etc.,)

Thank you

1. Extremely unlikely that your family would be issued a TRV as a visitor as their intention is to remain permanently.
2. The processing time is 30 days at Mississauga and see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/05-fc-spouses.asp
