We plan to do the "landing" to active the PR and visit for two weeks only.

In the landing i need to provide the B4/Good to follow or it could wait when i will do the settlement in about a year?
Also for the kids immunize document? it could wait for the settlement landing.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your situation and questions with us.

According to some Border Information Services (BIS) representatives, it is very important to provide your B4 Goods to Follow list at the time of landing.

According to them, if you do not or if you did and did not include everything on your list. It is possible that the officer may not be satisfied or convinced that you intended to provide it at the time of landing or that the items you would like to bring in were intended to have originally been included on a Goods to Follow list, then you may be subject to the tax and duty.

You will have to pay 13% tax and 9% duty on the used value.

Goods that arrive later will only qualify for duty- and tax-free importation under your entitlement as a settler, if they are on your original list.

You may want to contact a Border Information Services (BIS) representative directly for some information on your specific situation.

You can contact them at:

1-204-983-3500
1-506-636-5064
(Long Distance charges will apply)

Regarding immunizations, in Canada, immunization or vaccination records are required for children to enroll in school.

The Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website states, "When you travel to Canada, bring official documents that state what vaccinations you and your family have already had. If you or your child has not been vaccinated, call your doctor or local public health clinic right away."

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
