Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology is the oldest College of Applied Arts and Technology in Ontario, founded in 1966. It is located in Toronto. Its four campuses are situated to serve the eastern portion of the Greater Toronto Area.
The college is recognized as one of the most culturally diverse post-secondary institutions in Ontario . Almost 100 ethno-cultural groups are represented and 80 languages are spoken on campus. It offers more than 100 diploma and certificate programs on a full- and part-time basis in business, communication arts, community and consumer services, engineering technology, health and transportation.
Because of the nature of the student population and our commitment to issues of diversity and equity, Centennial has been instrumental in raising the profile of issues relating to ITIs. At the provincial level, Centennial is one of the lead colleges in the provincially funded Colleges Integrating Immigrants to Employment Project (CIITE).
Centennial is building a solid repertoire of knowledge and expertise in the assessment of international credentials from a wide variety of countries and educational systems. Innovative methods of transfer credit, or "fast tracking," have been implemented in many academic departments.
