    • Minimum Wage Increases October 1, 2016On October 1, 2016, the general minimum wage will increase from $11.25 to $11.40. Minimum wage rates for liquor servers, students under the age of 18, hunting and fishing guides, and homeworkers will also increase at the same time.

    • New Youth Mobility Agreement with San MarinoThere is a new Working Holiday Youth Mobility Arrangement between Canada and San Marino. Canadian Citizens aged 18 to 35 can now work and travel in San Marino for up to a year. Youth from San Marino can also work in Canada under the same conditions.

    • ETA Leniency Period ExtendedThe leniency period for the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) has now been extended until November 9, 2016. Starting November 10, visa-exempt visitors will need an eTA to travel to Canada.
