2017 Immigration Plan Announced

The Canadian Government has announced that it will welcome 300,000 immigrants in 2017. This number is the same as the 2016 target, but the distribution between immigration classes has changed slightly.

This category includes skilled immigrants and other newcomers chosen for economic reasons. People in this class apply through the following programs:

This category includes family members of permanent residents and Canadian citizens that are currently living abroad. The purpose is to reunite people in Canada with their:

Refugees and Protected Persons
