Abortion Pill Available for Free Across Ontario

As of August 10, 2017, accessing the abortion pill, Mifegymiso, will be available at no cost for women with a valid health card (OHIP). The pill is a safe, effective and non-invasive alternative to surgical abortion and is available at many pharmacies with a prescription from a doctor or nurse practitioner. It is used to medically terminate early pregnancies.
Mifegymiso is the only brand of abortion pill that has been approved by Health Canada.
If you did not plan to become pregnant, you have options available to you.
