End of eTA Leniency Period

Thursday, November 10, 2016

If you are travelling to Canada remember that the leniency period to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) ends November 9, 2016.

Starting November 10, 2016, travellers from countries that do not require a visitor’s visa will need an eTA in addition to a valid passport to visit or transit through Canada. Only people with a Canadian or U.S. passport will be exempt from this requirement.

If you are not sure whether you are eligible for an eTA visit Settlement.Org and find out if you need a visitor’s visa.
