Know Your Rights Before You Join a Gym

Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act protects you when you sign up for a gym. The Act gives you the right to cancel your membership within 10 days after signing up to a gym, no questions asked. Among other protections, you also have the right to pay for your membership on a monthly basis and leave your contract after a year.
