Ontario Immigration Act Now Passed

Thursday, May 28, 2015

The Ontario Immigration Act has now been passed. It builds on Ontario’s Immigration Strategy.

The Act will:

  • Facilitate Ontario's work with the federal government on the recruitment, selection and admission of skilled immigrants
  • Strengthen the province's ongoing efforts to reduce fraud
  • Increase transparency and information-sharing with Ontario's immigration partners

This law also supports the expansion of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
