Human Rights Legal Support Centre Services

The Human Rights Legal Support Centre gives legal help to people who have experienced discrimination under the Human Rights Code. They provide support in many languages.

The Human Rights Legal Support Centre (HRLSC) may be able to help you if you have experienced discrimination and want:

  • legal advice about how to address the discrimination that happened to you; or
  • legal assistance with an application to the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

Not all unfair treatment is discrimination. To be covered by the Ontario Human Rights Code, the treatment must relate to a personal characteristic (for example, race or gender) and an area (for example, employment or housing) that is specified in the Code.
