Foreign Credentials Referral Office Website Closing

Ontario Medal for Young Volunteers
Nominations for the Ontario Medal for Young Volunteers are being accepted until January 15, 2014. The award is presented by the Lieutenant Governor to exceptional young volunteers between the ages of 15 and 24.

New Health Care Program for Refugee Claimants
Starting January 1, 2014 refugee claimants who are not eligible for other health care programs will be able to access the Ontario Temporary Health Program. This program will cover most primary care and urgent hospital services as well as medications.

ESL Now Available to Francophone Newcomers
The Province of Ontario has changed the eligibility criteria for its English as a Second Language (ESL) program. The program is now available for French-speaking newcomers in Ontario. ESL is offered in over 300 locations across the province.
