Youth Workplace Training and Job Opportunities
Eligible youth aged 15-29 may qualify to take part in the programs offered by Ontario Youth Jobs Strategy. The strategy features programs focused on helping youth get the support they need to gain valuable workplace training and experience.

Ontario Child Benefit Increased
Ontario’s Ministry of Child and Youth Services has announced a $100 increase to the Ontario Child Benefit (OCB). Families can be eligible for a maximum payment of $1310 per child per year.

2015 Rent Cap announced at 1.6%
The Ontario government has announced that the rent cap for 2015 will be 1.6%. The cap, also known as the rent increase guideline, is the maximum a landlord can increase the rent without obtaining permission from the Landlord and Tenant Board.
