Reduced Citizenship Residency Requirements for Canadian Armed Forces Members
If you have served with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), you may be granted citizenship sooner. The length of time served in the CAF can be counted towards the reduced residency requirement which is now only 2 years for eligible individuals.

Ontario Child Benefit Increased
Ontario’s Ministry of Child and Youth Services has announced a $100 increase to the Ontario Child Benefit (OCB). Families can be eligible for a maximum payment of $1310 per child per year.

2015 Rent Cap announced at 1.6%
The Ontario government has announced that the rent cap for 2015 will be 1.6%. The cap, also known as the rent increase guideline, is the maximum a landlord can increase the rent without obtaining permission from the Landlord and Tenant Board.
