"What can I get you today? " asked Helen, the server at Maria�s favorite restaurant.

"The usual." replied Maria as she gazed outside. "Okay." she said starting to walk off but asked, "Maria is something bothering you? You don�t seem to be yourself today." Helen was a bit worried about her. Usually the tall brunette was never without stories to tell. Today she hardly smiled once. Maria replied, "No, not really..." she paused for a moment then asked, "Helen, can I ask you something?" "Of course" Helen replied. "Well, I received an unexpected phone call two days ago and I'm not sure what to do about it."

"Who was it from?" asked Helen curiously. "A friend from my previous workplace that I haven't spoken to for a few years." replied Maria.

"So, what was the phone call about? It obviously has got you deep in thought." Maria sighed deeply and began to tell the telephone conversation.
