National Youth Forum on an Accessible Canada

Monday, August 8, 2016

The Government of Canada is encouraging youth to take part in a day-long National Youth Forum to discuss what accessibility means to them and how to improve accessibility across Canada.

The forum will take place in Ottawa in November, 2016. You can submit an online application by September 15, 2016 if you:

  • Are between the ages of 15 and 30 years,
  • Are a Canadian resident,
  • Have a disability or have life, academic, or work experience related to disability and accessibility, and
  • Show signs of leadership and involvement in your community, related to issues of disability.

If you do not meet these requirements, you can still take part in the public consultation by attending a public session near you, or sharing your views on Twitter or Facebook with the hashtag #AccessibleCanada.
