- Borrow books to read at home. The Library has books in many languages and
in English. Reading to your child in any language will help him or her learn
English.
- In the summer, encourage your child to join the Summer Reading Club and
other programs.
- Library staff can help your child with school projects.

- Learn about the many free government and community programs for newcomers.
- Borrow books and tapes that will help you learn English.
Get information about finding a job
- Learn how to find a job, the Library has information about many professions.
- Find out about educational or professional credentials.
- Get information on assessing your qualifications for work and on how to
access trades and professions.

- The Library has books, tapes, CDs, magazines and newspapers in a variety
of languages.
Use computers and access the internet
- Free access to the internet.
- Read the news from around the world in many languages.
- Learn how to use the internet, email and the library.
Have fun with your family
- Attend family events such as storytelling.

Join the Library
- To join the library you need:
- One piece of official identification
- Proof of address - a telephone, electric or cable TV bill
- Children can get their own library card.
