COVID-19: Reopening Schools and Child Care Centres
Everyone has a stake in safely reopening Ontario’s schools. That’s why the Ontario government worked with doctors, health officials, school boards, and educators to help build a comprehensive plan to keep our kids safe.
Working together, the government’s plan includes enhanced cleaning, putting more
staff in schools, face coverings, hand washing, physical distancing, and other measures to help ensure the well-being of students and school staff.
A new choice: in-class or remote learning
As part of the plan, in-class and remote learning options will be available for both elementary and secondary students during the 2020-2021 school year. Families can choose what works best for them.
