Immigration Fraud Warning

Monday, March 17, 2014

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is warning newcomers to be careful of immigration fraud.  If you hire someone to help you with your immigration application, you should make sure that they are an authorized immigration representative. If you use an unauthorized representative, you could become a victim of fraud and your application could be refused.

CIC has produced a video to warn people about the dangers of using unauthorized representatives.

More information about hiring immigration consultants and lawyers can be found in the Settlement.Org article: Should I get help with my immigration application from an immigration consultant or lawyer?
