New CRA YouTube Videos

Tuesday, February 23, 2016

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has developed new tools to help you file your income tax and access benefits. Easy to understand tax information is now available through several short videos on the CRA's YouTube channel.

These videos include the Get Ready video, which explains how Auto-fill my return, the CRA's new service that automatically fills in portions of a tax return, can help make tax-filing easier. Auto-fill my return can be used by anyone who is registered for the CRA's online service, My Account, and uses compatible certified tax preparation software.

The New to Canada? Learn about taxes video is now available in English, French, Arabic, Cantonese, Spanish, and Punjabi. This video introduces newcomers to Canada's tax system and explains how to file income tax and benefit returns.

The "Need a Hand?" video is also available in several languages. It includes information on the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP). The CVITP offers free clinics to help prepare income tax and benefit returns for eligible individuals who have a modest income and a simple tax situation.
