Newcomers Needed for Survey about Credential Recognition in Ontario

The Government of Ontario (Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade) and KPMG LLP and Ference Weicker & Company are undertaking a survey of the Foreign Qualification Recognition (FQR) system in Ontario, to assess existing FQR policies, processes and programs, which will help to facilitate an informed discussion about how effectively the existing system is serving immigrants.

More specifically, they want to find out whether you: 

  • Sought and were successful in having your education, experience and qualifications recognized by employers, regulatory agencies, licensing bodies and others;
  • Obtained employment that met the expectations you had when you came to Canada;
  • Have recommendations regarding programs and services that could make it easier for newcomers such as you to achieve their employment goals.

The survey is available in English and French, and can be taken until July 25th, 2014:
