Reloadable Payment Card Now Available for ODSP Clients

Monday, May 16, 2016

Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) clients who do not have a bank account will now be able to receive their benefits on a reloadable payment card rather than receiving a paper cheque.

The card works in the same way as a debit card except that you do not need to have a bank account. If you are receiving ODSP, your payment will be loaded onto the card. You can take out money from a bank machine or buy items in stores with this card. The cards are private and don’t identify you an ODSP recipient.

You can find out more about ODSP in Settlement.Org’s Disability Support section.
