Financial Literacy Resources Available to Students

Tuesday, November 8, 2016

In celebration of Financial Literacy Month, the Ontario province has shared some resources for students to improve their financial literacy.
These initiatives include:

  • Adding financial literacy to the Grades 4-12 curriculum, including topics such as how to save, spend and invest your money,  as well as how to be a responsible consumer.
  • Providing more funds to support Funny Money, a program designed to provide financial education to students in addition to the school curriculum.
  • Educating students on postsecondary education and career planning, as well as the financial aid system available to support their studies.
