ptp Adult Learning and Employment Programs invites newcomers to the Online Financial Literacy: Managing Your Money in Canada.
New to Canada? Join our free online program and learn the basics of managing your money.
Understand your pay stub, deductions, and take-home pay. Avoid costly money mistakes and learn skills you can use right away:
- Understand a cashier’s roles and responsibilities
- Use bank accounts, debit cards, and online banking for everyday needs
- Make a simple budget for rent, food, bills, and daily costs
- understand credit and borrowing so you can avoid high-interest debt
- spot scams and protect your money and personal information
Program runs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for eight weeks from 9 September 2026 to 1 October 2026.
Eligibility:
This program is open to newcomers with a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 3 or higher.
Eligible newcomers include Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees, Protected Persons, Live-in Caregivers, Palestinians from Gaza (MOM2023).
