Tuesday, April 24, 2018

Ontario announced it will be investing $822 million in the hospital sector over 2018-19. This could mean reduced hospital wait times, better care closer to your home and a reduction in hospital staffing issues.

The investment will also allow hospitals to:

  • Expand essential services.
  • Provide faster access to critical care and priority procedures.
  • Invest with precision in the specific needs of their patients and community

The province is providing more than $19 billion over the next 10 years to build and expand hospitals and support nurses.

The government is also investing $2.1 billion in an expansion to mental health and addiction services.
