Ontario Expands Immigration Nominee Program

Ontario has announced changes to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) that will expand how many immigrants can be nominated through the program. OINP is a provincial economic program that allows employers to request that the province nominate foreign nationals for permanent residency.

The province has also increased the number of nominations it will provide in 2017 to 6,000.

Foreign nationals who want to work in Canada and employers can apply for a provincial nomination under several categories. 3 of these categories have recently been changed:
