Can I talk to my child's teacher?
It is important for you to talk with your child's teacher to find out how your child is doing in the class.
What is a Community Hub?
You will find community hubs in most neighbourhoods. They are public spaces that offer multiple community services under one roof.
What are extracurricular activities?
Generally, extracurricular activities take place before or after school.

What activities are available for high school students?
Participating in activities at school is a great way for newcomer students to make friends, practise their English and feel part of the school community.
Where can I find support groups for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, questioning, intersex, or asexual (LGBTQIA+) newcomers?
If you are new to Ontario you may want to connect with other newcomers who also identify as LGBTQIA+. You may want to find a community group specifically for LGBTQIA+ newcomers. You don’t have to be openly out to join these kinds of groups.
