YMCA Newcomer Information Centre invites you to a series of workshops: Connecting Dots to Employment - Anatomy of the Workplace Workshop III.
What do Canadian employers expect from their employees in the workplace? Employers are not just looking for candidates with the right hard/technical skills; they are also looking for individuals with strong soft/interpersonal skills, which represent a person's ability to communicate effectively, work well independently or within a team, and resolve conflict independently. Are you prepared?
Anatomy of the Workplace is the third workshop in Connecting the Dots to Employment, a pre-employment workshop series that exposes you to different considerations during your job hunt, other than your resume and cover letter. The series will help you explore your own assets while understanding your tolerance for change; you will learn about the inner workings of the workplace while acquiring new tools for communicating with others. You will recognize your uniqueness and learn how to make online platforms work for you.
