YMCA Newcomer Information Centre invites you to a series of workshops: Connecting Dots to Employment - Embracing Change Workshop II.
Change requires us to do something new, often forcing us outside of our comfort zone. Everyone experiences discomfort to some degree, but the less independent a person is the more discomfort he/she will feel. When change is initially introduced, we usually view it in the context of our own current situation, fearing what we will lose instead of embracing what we will gain. If we can change the way we think, we will wing in the end.
Embracing Change is the second workshop in Connecting the Dots to Employment, a pre-employment workshop series that exposes you to different considerations during your job hunt, other than your resume and cover letter. The series will help you explore your own assets while understanding your tolerance for change; you will learn about the inner workings of the workplace while acquiring new tools for communicating with others. You will recognize your uniqueness and learn how to make online platforms work for you.
- Learning to reposition change
- Change management and its phases
- Understanding the Change Curve and what stage you are at
- Career Exploration
