ETA Leniency Period Extended

Wednesday, September 21, 2016

The leniency period for the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) has now been extended until November 9, 2016.

Starting November 10, visa-exempt visitors will need an eTA to travel to Canada. You can find more information on this topic in the article Do I need a visitor's visa to visit Canada?

In addition, if you are a dual citizen travelling to Canada, you will be required to show your Canadian passport as proof of citizenship.
