New Free Child Care Spaces for Ontario

The province announced this week it will be rolling out funding for 3,100 new licensed child care spaces starting in May. These are additional free child care spaces for children before they enter kindergarten.
You’ll find these new child care spaces in:
- Community centres
- Places of worship
- Indigenous friendship centres
75 projects to transform existing spaces will be completed by 2020. Preschool child care for kids 2.5 years and older will be free as of 2020.
