Scadding Court Community Centre, Newcomer Employment and Entrepreneurship Hub (NEESH) is a free, 6-week program designed to support newcomers to Canada as they begin their employment journey.
Whether you’re looking to secure a job or start your own business, NEESH offers in-demand training tailored to your goals.
Program Overview:
- Weeks 1–4: Professional development (digital skills, financial literacy, job readiness, and career coaching)
- Weeks 5–12: Hands-on training in a chosen stream, with an honorarium
Hybrid classes:
- n-person class starts May 9th @9:30 am to 3 pm (Every Saturday at TMU)
- Online class starts May 13th @ 6 pm - 8:30 pm (Every Wednesday via Zoom)
Topics include career development, social media strategies, project management, financial literacy, and many more skills.
Participants benefit from:
- One-on-one career coaching with potential placement opportunities
- 6-month entrepreneurship mentorship
- A dedicated cohort-specific WhatsApp group
- Networking opportunities, pop-up markets, and other professional development events
- A Certificate of Completion upon meeting course requirements
