Challenge to Spend More Time in Nature

Monday, July 24, 2017

The Government of Ontario has launched a challenge to encourage people to spend more time outdoors. Starting in August, the challenge is to spend at least 30 minutes a day in nature for 30 days.

Research shows that you can improve your physical and mental health by spending more time in nature. It is a good way to relieve stress, strengthen your immune system, and lower your blood pressure.

You can spend time in nature by being in your backyard or visit a public park. You can find more ideas on how to spend time in nature by reading "What Outdoor Activities Are Available?" on Settlement.Org.
