The province is offering online resources to help employers and their staff make workplaces more accessible.

The Accessibility in Ontario: Information for Businesses page has instructional guides and toolkits to assist your organization with:

  • Creating accessible graphic designs for your website
  • Resources for educators, classroom staff and administrators
  • Creating accessible webinars
  • Introductions to web accessibility and development tools

There are 2.6 million people in Ontario living with a disability, that's roughly a quarter of the population, and more than 40% of this population is over the age of 65.

The employment rate in Ontario for people with disabilities is 58%, compared to 81% for people without disabilities.
