How does INLAP help internationally educated nurses get their licensing in Canada?

The International Nurses Licensure Assistance Pathway (INLAP) is a comprehensive program designed to support Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) in their journey to become licensed and practice in Canada. 

This 14-week program, offered by Progress Career Planning Institute (PCPI), covers all the key areas to help you achieve licensure and certification and prepare you for employment in the Canadian healthcare workforce. You will learn about the licensure process, examination topics, and the enhanced language training and soft skills required to successfully practice as a nurse in the Canadian Healthcare sector.

Who is eligible to participate in the INLAP program?

To be eligible for the INLAP program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • have completed a nursing education program outside of Canada
  • possess English language proficiency (specific requirements may vary)
  • be a permanent resident, conventional refugee, protected person, temporary resident, or Canadian citizen
  • be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • commit to pursuing nursing licensure in Canada
