Finding a Doctor or Dentist

Most Canadians have a family doctor or "general practitioner" (GP). Family doctors are usually the first people to diagnose and treat most medical problems. There are a few ways to find a dentist. Some dentists also offer specialized services such as orthodontics, which involves straightening teeth and jaws (often with "braces").

How do I find a family doctor?
It is possible that you will have difficulty finding a doctor in your area who takes patients. However, there are a few ways to find a family doctor.
