Where can I find low-cost health care?
If you don't have OHIP, you can get free or low-cost health care at a Community Health Centre (CHC).
Community Health Centres (CHCs) are non-profit organizations that provide primary health care and health promotion programs for individuals, families and communities.
Some CHCs offer integrated health care, language and settlement programs specifically for immigrants and refugees.

Some community agencies can help you find low-cost health care.
To find help, go to Services Near Me and search for "settlement services" in your area.
Health Connect Ontario
You can contact Health811 by calling 811 from any phone. You can talk to a registered nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This service is free and confidential.
You can ask the Health Connect Ontario nurse questions about health concerns or describe symptoms you have. The nurse will help you to decide if you should go to a hospital emergency room if you can wait to go to a doctor the next day, or if you can look after yourself at home.
