Changes in Requirements for Seniors Co-Payment Drug Program
Thursday, July 21, 2016
New eligibility requirements were made for the Low-Income Seniors Co-Payment Drug Program. You might be able to enroll in the program if you are:
- A single senior with an income less than or equal to $19,300, or
- A senior couple with a combined income of less than or equal to $32,300.
If you are enrolled in the Seniors Co-Payment Drug Program, you do not have to pay an annual deductible fee and are only required to pay up to $2 for each prescription. As a result, you will save almost an average of $130 per year in drug expenses.
You can apply to enroll in the program by completing a Co-Payment Application for Seniors form and send it to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
