Who should get a flu shot?
The flu is a serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and even death in some cases. According to the Ministry of Health, flu shots are an effective way to prevent getting the virus in up to 60% of the population. But who should get the flu shot?
In high-risk adults, including seniors, studies have shown that flu shots can decrease the number of doctor visits, hospital admissions and deaths.
