Ontario's Strategy to End Human Trafficking

Ontario has announced an anti-human trafficking strategy that will focus on four key areas:

  • Prevention and Community Support: to increase awareness of the causes of human trafficking and improve community services for meet survivors
  • Enhanced Justice Sector Initiatives: to support effective investigation and prosecution
  • Indigenous-Led Approaches: to support culturally relevant services in partnership with the Indigenous community
  • Provincial Coordination and Leadership: to help improve collaboration across law enforcement, justice, social, health, education, and child welfare areas.
